a bit of pixie-dust

There's a certain courage in walking through the grocery store speaking in your fake, BBC-groomed British accent. (Pssst! Everyone else thinks you're American--isn't that funny? ;)

There's a certain courage in wearing polka dots and red lipstick if you like it. Don't worry--everyone else will forget about it in a week.

There's a certain courage in filling your diaphragm with air and belting out Broadway tunes...even if you don't hit all the notes. Who cares how it comes out? You still sound like Charlotte Church inside. :)

There's a certain courage in saying your true opinion of a subject...regardless of whether everyone else agrees. (You mean you don't think Thor's perfectly drop-dead-gorgeous?!!! What's wrong with you?!? ;)

There's a certain courage in walking about with brown hair. (while knowing you're a red-head at heart. ;)

There's a certain courage in quoting Shakespeare and Dickens and other great authors even when it's hopelessly outdated. (They can't blame you for being clever, you know.)

There's a certain courage in living life the way God meant you to and not worrying about what the world thinks. After all...who's going to be happier in the end?

There's a certain courage in proclaiming yourself a writer. Everyone else expects you to publish a book 3 months later. ;)

There's a certain courage in reminding yourself over and over you're a fabulous young woman worth waiting for. Because you are. The King of kings says.

There's a certain courage in carrying yourself like a heroine. There's a mistake on your birth certificate. Your name is really Elizabeth Bennet. ;)

It's not disillusionment. It's imagination + truth + a little bit of pixie-dust.

"There's a certain courage in reminding yourself over and over you're a fabulous young woman worth waiting for. Because you are. The King of kings says." That was amazing. Wow. I might have to borrow some of these! Do you mind?
And I love this too: "There's a certain courage in quoting Shakespeare and Dickens and other great authors even when it's hopelessly outdated. (They can't blame you for being clever, you know." LOL

  6. I love this post, yes THOR is drop dead gorgeous, and I remind myself that I can to sing like some opera great every time I sing a phantom of the opera tune, even if only in my head.
I love the last one :)) and so will my sister once I show it to her.

  7. Haha! Thank you girls. :) I will have to say, Rachel Hope, that I was quoting a friend in the Thor comment. I think he's nice enough looking but she swoons over him. :D I'm a Captain America fan all the way. :)
