{And by the way, I don't know anything about some of these artists--I just like this particular song of theirs. :}
Corinne Bailey Rae "Put Your Records On"
--just heard this on Pandora--what a cute little song! Makes me happy. :)
JJ Heller's "Boat Song"...always a favorite. :)
{Sarah showed me this very danceable song after she did some Zumba with some friends. :D}
Josh Turner "Why Don't We Just Dance" <3
Jack Johnson's "Banana Pancakes" :)
What are you some of your fun-to-listen-to songs?
One of the songs that I like to listen to with the kids (and sometimes even by myself :P) is "I Wanna to Be a Snowman" by Caspar Babypants. (Don't ask about the name of the artist... I have no idea why he's called that. :P)
ReplyDeleteI find that a lot of my favorite songs are "danceables"...which is probably why they're my favorites *grin* I LOVE "Why Don't We Just Dance"...another country danceable is "The Wind" (Zac Brown Band). And then of course, "Just Haven't Met You Yet" by Michael Buble :) What's funny is that *everytime* we start listening to country music in the car on the radio, it plays "Mean" by Taylor Swift - a very danceable song that now our whole family goofs off to (even my parents :P). Oh, I could keep going...How about "When We're Together" by Mark Harris from the Courageous soundtrack? LOVE. Or then another funny one (thanks to my parents and their 70s music) "I Think I Love You" by the Partridge family :P Ohhhh, I love danceable music!
ReplyDelete"Boat Song" I <3. And "Share It Maybe" - of course!!
ReplyDeleteDance - By David Crowder Band is great for dancing. (Thus the name.)
And I especially loooove "Lemonade" by Chris Rice.
Oh, just remembered another favorite - "Cupid" by David Powter. My siblings had to sing and dance to it in a play they were recently in, and the director edited out a line or two of one of the verses so the version we listen is "appropriate"...great song though :P
ReplyDelete@Carrie, haha! What a funny name! I'll have to look all of these up!
ReplyDelete@ Jo March, I'm gonna save these and look them up! Oh yeah..I totally know about "appropriate" versions of songs. We re-word them all the time! ;)
@ Mamie, somehow I haven't heard "Dance" or "Lemonade!"
I have tons of favorite songs. Really. This could be an extremely long comment if I listed just my very, very favorites! But here's a couple that always make me feel like dancing along...
ReplyDelete"Show Jesus", by Jamie Grace
"You and I", "I'm Gonna Sing," and "Center of It" by Chris August
"Remind Me Who I Am" by Jason Gray
Several Jonny Diaz songs...
and Mandisa! Especially "Good Morning". :)
I like Christian Contemporary music. ;)
Hugs!
~Julia
I like "Lemonade" by Chris Rice, too!! Such a fun song.
All the songs that Julia above mentioned (except the Jamie Grace one, which I have not heard yet) I LOVE as well! They are great for dancing. :-)

Finding new, good music is always enjoyable. Sometimes I don't know where to find any. This is why I like it when bloggers share their music. Makes the hunt easier.
ReplyDeleteAllons-y!
