Though I'm a romantic, I don't go in for all the sappy, sad love-songs, nor the cheesy ones. Broadway and Vintage music have my numbers, as do Michael Buble and several country stars. :D What are some of my favorites?
This song is such a loved one it made it into a large part in my latest novel.. ^.^
Such a sweet song. I love the dedication. :)
One of the cutest little songs ever.
"Haven't Met You Yet" by Michael Buble and "Everything"
Two of the most adorable songs from one of the best modern-vintage singers.
This song just makes me so happy and cozy. ^.^
(A favorite from the very first moment I heard his astonishingly deep voice. :D)
Another precious one by my favorite cowboy-couple
(YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS ONE BECAUSE IT'S ALSO A MONTAGE OF LADY MARY AND MATTHEW CRAWLEY! <3)
(This couple is way too cute for their own good.)
There are more. There are so many more, because the world is just chock-full of good, cheery, sweet love songs. But these are the ones I will give you, and for further news, check out Meghan's post of her own favorites! :)

Hey, lady! Just popped on over through your link-up on Meghan's page! Cute blog! I believe in comment leavin', so I just wanted to say hi and let you know that I was here! :)
ReplyDeleteYou have great taste, Rachel!!! I'd love to hear more about your latest novel--Beyond the Sea is a *favorite*. <3
ReplyDeleteAnd I love those two Josh Turner songs!! =D
Thanks for joining up!
Oh, we're so funny aren't we? But since NYC just seems to call for happy, perky love songs I think we were right on track. Haha.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing a post like this on Wednesday - and since our tastes are pretty similar there'll def be double ups :D
OH MY WORD I LOVE THAT VERSION OF DE-LOVELY!!!! Precious. Ahhh. So cute. Except that Collin looks likes Thomas. *evil chuckle*
Michael Bulbe has great songs.
ReplyDeleteOH! You know of Would You Go With Me! I've tried to get all my friends to listen to this song but they refuse. It is such a good song though.
Josh Groban always has a lot of good ones, that don't seem too mushy.
Oh, you listen to Roy and Dale too? Small world! I've always loved "Lights of Old Santa Fe," though I've never thought of it as a straight-up love song. I like those two by Michael Buble too!
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I'm extremely fond of a real old classic, "Love's Old Sweet Song" (going to post a beautiful version of it on my blog tomorrow). And for sheer poetic, vintage romance, "All the Things You Are" and "My Heart Stood Still." "All I Ask of You" is my favorite romantic Broadway duet. There's "Close as Pages in a Book," which is just lovely (and has the additional benefit of being literary), and "Cottage in the Clouds" by the Sons of the Pioneers is sweet.
